JOOLS HOLLAND
Lets The Boogie Monster Out

On Sunday 30th April 2000 I was back at The Cheltenham Town Hall for my second event of this years Jazz Festival. The performer for this event was JOOLS HOLLAND & HIS RHYTHM & BLUES ORCHESTRA.

Although I had seen the band two years earlier I enjoyed this performance more as there was no support act and he really got us dancing and joining in.

At one point in the evening he told us all to sit on the floor and then when he gave the signal we all had to jump up and scream, thus "letting out the Boogie Monster", this of course I thought was brilliant as it gave me a clear view of the stage. At another point he got us to help him perform I'M IN A DANCING MOOD which was excellent. Also during the evening there was a superb drum solo courtesy of GILSON LAVIS.

Another two of my favourites were I'M GONE, and DR JAZZ.
